OFFICE HONORED WITH DIVERSITY AWARD
Atlanta, GA—May 17, 2007--Prudential Georgia Realty’s Midtown office, located two blocks north of the High Museum at 1409 Peachtree Street, was recently singled out by Prudential Real Estate Affiliates (PREA) when it was honored with one of the first Diversity Awards ever given out by the company.
Charles Larson, the chief financial officer of Prudential Real Estate and Relocation and head of PREA’s Diversity Council, personally came to Atlanta to make the official award presentation to Managing Broker Mike Wright at the office’s weekly sales meeting.
“I am very proud of this accomplishment for the Midtown team,” said Mike Wright. “We try to stay focused on exceeding the needs of our clients in Atlanta’s culturally diverse intown neighborhoods. The end result is that by doing the right thing, we also increase our business.”
Wright serves on PREA’s Diversity Council. The Diversity Award was created this year to acknowledge offices around the country which have gone above and beyond to reach out to their local communities and a concentration of ethnic (African-American, Hispanic or Asian) or gay/lesbian clientele.
Prudential Georgia Realty’s Midtown office has worked diligently to positively position itself in Atlanta’s gay/lesbian community, with regular advertising in gay publications and hosting/attending numerous gay area events and fund-raisers. In 2007, the office plans to participate in Atlanta’s Annual Gay Pride Parade in late June.
